Booking a Jazz Band - FAQ

What are your sound requirements?

This can vary a bit by venue. For small and medium-sized venues, we are often capable of providing our own amplification. For larger spaces, we generally require that the client or venue provide a PA.

What’s the best type of event for booking a jazz band?

While jazz bands are commonly booked for wedding cocktail hours, they can also be a great choice for birthdays, corporate events, and more. The beauty of a jazz trio or duo is that it can function equally well as the main point of focus, or as a supporting component of the event – sometimes both in the same evening! For instance: you can request that we start out playing mellow jazz and then have us switch to pop music as the evening’s energy heats up.

Can you put together a larger jazz band for my wedding?

Absolutely! While my core offerings of duo or trio are a good fit for many people, I’m more than happy to provide 4 or 5-piece jazz band that adds a female vocalist and second rhythm instrument.
